FAQ

Questions before your customers knock.

Practical answers about setup, customer access, Linear sync, AI, billing limits, and the data NOCK can collect with each ticket.

Implementation

Do my customers need an account?

No. The widget and Customer Portal work without customer accounts. Customers can report feedback, track visible status, and reply through shared links without dashboard access.

Which frameworks does NOCK support?

Any web stack that can load a script tag. The widget is vanilla TypeScript in a Shadow DOM, so React, Vue, Svelte, Astro, Webflow, and plain HTML can all use the same install model.

How long does setup usually take?

A normal setup is one project, one copied script tag, and one test ticket. Most teams can verify the first ticket in a few minutes, then refine categories, console capture, and sharing later.

What does NOCK capture automatically?

Tickets can include URL, browser, OS, viewport, screen size, console logs, failed network requests, and user-attached images. Console capture and broader settings are configurable per project.

Workflow

Where do tickets end up?

Tickets land in the NOCK Dashboard first. From there your team can triage, assign, reply, add internal notes, and optionally sync connected tickets with Linear.

Is Linear required?

No. Linear sync is optional. NOCK works as its own feedback and ticket system, with Public API and webhooks available for teams that want custom automations.

How does AI enhancement work?

When enabled, NOCK asks focused follow-up questions before submission and stores the answers with the ticket. Workspace plan limits control monthly AI usage.

Can customers see internal Linear details?

No. The Customer Portal shows customer-safe ticket status and conversation context. It does not expose internal Linear identifiers, links, console logs, or private team notes.

Billing and limits

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Lite starts with a no-card 14-day trial once per account (your first workspace). Plus, Growth, and Scale start as paid subscriptions from day one.

What happens when the trial ends?

If no payment method is added, the workspace becomes read-only: existing data remains visible, but new tickets and new projects are blocked until billing is activated.

What happens when a monthly limit is reached?

Ticket intake pauses when the ticket limit is reached. AI enhancement pauses when the AI limit is exhausted. Upgrading gives the workspace more room.

Security and privacy

Are screenshots captured silently?

No. Images are explicit user uploads through click, drag and drop, or paste. NOCK does not silently capture the current screen.

Can console logs include sensitive data?

Yes, if your application writes sensitive data to the browser console. Keep production logs clean and configure NOCK log levels or exclude patterns when needed.

How should we connect other tools?

Use scoped API keys and signed webhooks for external adapters such as Zapier, n8n, Make, GitHub Issues, Jira, or internal systems. Linear is the native project-management integration today.
