Categories
Configure the feedback categories users choose from in the NOCK widget and use them for triage and Linear label matching.
Categories are the choices users see when they submit feedback. They help your team filter, triage, and route tickets without reading every submission first.
Manage them in Settings > Categories.
Add, rename, or remove categories
Open Settings > Categories
Select the project, open Settings, then choose the Categories tab.
Edit the list
Add up to 10 categories, rename existing categories, or remove categories you no longer need.
Save Categories
Click Save Categories. New widget sessions use the updated category list.
Category names can be up to 100 characters, but short labels work best in the widget.
What users see
The widget shows the configured category list near the top of the form. Users choose one category before submitting.
If no categories are configured, users can still submit feedback without selecting a category.
Linear label matching
When Linear sync is enabled, NOCK can match ticket categories to available Linear labels by name. For example, a NOCK category named Bug can match a Linear label named Bug.
Use the Settings > Linear sync tab to view labels available for the selected Linear team.
Triage tips
Keep categories short and distinct. A good starter set is:
| Category | Use for |
|---|---|
| Bug | Something broken or unexpected. |
| Feature | A request for new functionality. |
| Feedback | General product feedback or unclear reports. |
Avoid overlapping categories such as Bug, Issue, and Problem; users will not know which one to choose.
