NOCK Widget Overview — Embed and Collect Feedback Fast
The NOCK widget lets your users submit feedback directly from your product, complete with automatic context, screenshots, and AI follow-up questions.
The NOCK widget is a lightweight feedback button you embed in your web product. When a user clicks it, a small form slides open where they can describe a bug, request a feature, or share general thoughts. When they submit, NOCK automatically packages their message together with page URL, browser details, operating system, and screen size — no extra effort required from you or your users.
Key capabilities
- Automatic context capture — Every ticket includes the page URL, browser name and version, operating system, and viewport size without asking the user to fill in anything extra.
- Feedback categories — Users choose a category (Bug, Feature, General by default) so your team can filter and triage tickets instantly.
- AI-powered follow-up questions — Users can click Refine with AI to answer one to three targeted follow-up questions before the ticket lands in your dashboard.
- Screenshots, pins, and image attachments — Users can capture the current viewport, pin a point on the page, or upload, drop, and paste image files.
- Text edit suggestions — Users can select page text, keep it as readonly original text, and provide a suggested replacement.
- Console log capture — Attach recent browser console entries, unhandled errors, promise rejections, and failed network requests based on Settings > Console.
- Hidden mode — Keep the widget button invisible and reveal it via shortcut,
?nock, secret gesture, or a programmatic call.
How the widget flow works
User opens the widget
The user clicks the NOCK button (or presses the configured keyboard shortcut). The feedback form appears without leaving the current page.
User fills in the form
They pick a category, describe their feedback, and optionally capture a screenshot, place a pin, suggest a text edit, or attach images. If AI Enhancement is enabled, they can click Refine with AI to answer follow-up questions.
User submits
On submit, NOCK bundles the message, category, follow-up answers, images, annotations, and all the automatically captured technical context into a single ticket.
Your team sees the ticket
The ticket appears immediately in your NOCK Dashboard, ready to review, filter by category, and act on.
Note
NOCK captures technical context automatically on every submission — you don't need to ask users to describe their browser or operating system.
