NOCK Privacy Basics: How Your Data Is Stored and Handled
A plain-language overview of how NOCK uses collected data, what gets shared with third parties, how long data is retained, and how to delete it.
When you use NOCK to collect feedback from your users, you are trusting us to handle that data responsibly. This page explains the basics of how NOCK treats the data it collects — what we do with it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can remove it. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and giving you clear, honest answers to these questions.
How NOCK uses collected data
Data captured in a NOCK ticket is used for one purpose: to populate your project inbox so you and your team can review and act on user feedback. NOCK does not sell ticket data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties outside of the integrations, API clients, or webhook endpoints you choose to configure.
Third-party integrations
Third-party services receive ticket data only when you explicitly connect or configure them in NOCK. Today, this can happen through native Linear sync, Public API clients, or outbound webhooks:
- Linear - When you connect a Linear workspace to your NOCK project, ticket data such as title, description, category, status, and relevant context can be sent to the Linear workspace you control.
- Public API clients - When you create API keys, any system holding a valid key can access only the scopes assigned to that key.
- Webhooks - When you create webhook endpoints, NOCK sends the selected ticket events to the HTTPS URLs you configure.
Data sent to Linear, API clients, webhook endpoints, or automation tools is governed by those services and by your own handling once it leaves NOCK.
If you have not connected Linear, created API keys, or enabled webhook endpoints, ticket data stays within your NOCK account and is not transmitted to external services by those mechanisms.
Data retention
Data is retained for as long as your NOCK account is active. Individual tickets remain in your project inbox until you or a team member deletes them. There is no automatic expiry for tickets — you are in control of what stays and what is removed.
Tip
If you want to keep your inbox tidy and minimize the amount of stored feedback data, you can archive or delete resolved tickets directly from the dashboard at any time.
How to delete your data
You have two levels of deletion available:
