Import Issues
Preview and import existing open Linear tickets into NOCK, with duplicate skipping and progress feedback.
Use import when your team already has work in Linear and you want those open issues to appear as NOCK tickets.
Import is manual and project-scoped. It uses the team and optional project currently configured in Settings > Linear sync.
Run an import
Open Settings > Linear sync
Select the NOCK project and open Settings > Linear sync.
Confirm Team and Project
Make sure the selected Linear team and optional project are the source you want to import from.
Click Import existing tickets
NOCK saves changed Linear sync settings first when needed, then fetches a preview.
Review the preview
The preview shows how many open tickets were found and which team/project they will come from.
Confirm import
Start the import. The progress indicator shows imported, skipped, and total counts.
What gets imported
NOCK imports open Linear tickets from the selected source and creates corresponding NOCK tickets.
| Linear data | NOCK result |
|---|---|
| Title | Ticket title |
| Description | Ticket description |
| Workflow state | Closest NOCK status |
| Labels | Ticket/category context where applicable |
| Linear issue identity | Used to skip tickets that were already imported |
Already imported tickets are skipped instead of duplicated.
What import does not do
Import is not continuous background sync for all Linear history. It is a snapshot action that you run on demand.
NOCK does not import every Linear-specific field. Comments, cycles, estimates, and internal Linear-only metadata stay in Linear.
Note
After import, new NOCK tickets and Linear-created tickets follow the normal sync behavior configured in Settings > Linear sync.
